IMPORT REQUIREMENTS

Our expertise in importing products to the U.S., Canada and Europe ensures that your goods will comply with all Customs requirements, and be delivered to your facility quickly and safely. We will determine just what your organization’s requirements are; the Customs import regulations and obtain any required papers or permits. DEX will also advise you of any special things you need to consider. There is no extra charge for this service.

In general, international customs or other relevant departments enforce strict regulations governing imported goods including the following:

• Quota restrictions and any anti-dumping regulations
• Safety requirements for flammability;
• Restrictions on the composition of materials (e.g. a ban on goods made with Azo-dyes from importation to EU and products containing lead to the U.S.)
• Markings that must be on products (e.g. Country of Origin)
• Intellectual property protections
• Other regulations determined by HTS classification number of the imported goods (for importation to the U.S.)
